General Information
The resort of Figueretas is situated on the south eastern coast of Ibiza very close to Ibiza town Due to its proximity it is actually classed as a suburb of Ibiza Town. The beach at this resort is located centrally in front of the many popular hotels and apartments. There is also a selection of smaller beaches in the number of neighboring coves An evening stroll along the palm tree lined promenade reveals the many café, bars and restaurants to keep you wined, dined and entertained. A five minute bus ride or twenty minute walk takes you into Ibiza Town where you can sample the varied selection of restaurants to suit every taste. Whilst in the town of Ibiza why not sample the world famous nightlife. Figueretas is perfectly located to provide that twin holiday experience, being able to take in the lively atmosphere of Ibiza Town in the evening whilst relaxing in Figueretas during the day. Airport transfer time is approximately 15 minutes
Food
Quiet and relaxing restaurants are the order of the day here, with a good choice in local dishes. Albendigos (spicy meatballs), Rabo de Toro (oxtail with onions and spices) and the fish specials Calamari (squid in batter) and Sopa de Pescado (fish stew in garlic and tomatoes) are all worth a try. The local beers are very good value as are the many wines on offer, with the obligatory Sangria found everywhere. You might struggle to find fast food style cooking here, but the version available in the bars and pubs is quite edible. and all served with chips and a great salad.
